Startup Weekend is returning to Ohio University next month. The 54-hour event is happening November 14th-16th at OU’s Innovation Center on West State Street.
Haven’t heard of Startup Weekend?
The event brings together professionals, students, Ohio University faculty and staff, and other community members to work collaboratively to bring real business start-up ideas to fruition; from the initial pitch to prototype development, all in 54 hours.
Teams are made up of people from many different fields: designers, developers, entrepreneurs, engineers, and business experts. Expert coaches are also on site for assistance.
This event is a really cool, one of a kind opportunity, especially for community members, young professionals, and others outside of Ohio University. It gives you the opportunity to collaborate and engage with a diverse, motivated, and talented group of individuals outside of your normal circle of friends and colleagues.
“Attending Startup Weekend Athens in 2013 changed my life! It opened so many doors for me including the knowledge gained and networking needed to be the co-founder of a new business. It also led to me to paid positions with other startup companies in Athens.” Sam Patt, YAP Member
